I want to join Troop 230.
While some boys join the Troop from a Cub Scout pack, it is not a requirement that you be a Cub Scout to join. Several boys don't know about Scouts or were never asked to join. If you are between the age of 11 and 18, you can join Troop 230 and become a Boy Scout.
If you are a Cub Scout and are a Second year Webelos, your den leader has
probably told you about the different Boy Scout Troops in your area. You
are not required to join the Boy Scout Troop that is affiliated with your Cub
Scout Pack. You can join any Boy Scout Troop in your area. Because
every Troop has a different style and character, it is a benefit to visit the
different troops before you decide which Troop to join. If you decide to join
Troop 230, the Troop will work with your Cubmaster to arrange a "cross over"
ceremony to celebrate your becoming a Boy Scout.
If you are new to Scouting or were a Cub Scout some time ago, joining Scouting is easy. The first thing you need to do is - attend a Troop meeting.
