the water run down the hill. |

This is the first day of Horsemanship merit badge class. The
class was taught by the Head Wrangler. The majority of horses at
the Ranch are retired racing horses, mostly Quarter horses. There
were no ponies, so even the new Scouts learned to ride a full-size
horse. |
 |
The troop's Head Wrangler, Mr. Rhodes, shows everyone how it is
done. Here he is on his favorite horse - Devlin. |
 |
The Swamp Tromp - your chance to play in a swamp for an hour.
We only had one participant - guess who? That's him covered in
muck. TJ where are you? In the end, everyone was covered
with black muck and had to take several showers to get rid of the dirt
and the smell. |

One of the many horse trips that the troop took while at summer
camp. This ride took the troop along the shores of the Lockwood
Lake. |
 |
The troop's entry into the Lockwood Regatta. The raft floated
well but ended up being top heavy from the chair. Overall, the troop
came in second out of 14 troops for the water carnival, which included
nine events. |
