Troop Background
Troop 230 is in Grand Rapids, Michigan and serves the Northeast area
of Grand Rapids, which includes Northview, All Saints Academy, Comstock
Park and
Forest Hills School Districts. It has been chartered by the
President Gerald R. Ford Council for over forty years. It is sponsored by the
Knights of Columbus Council 389. Troop meetings are held at the
Plainfield Senior Center on 5255 Grand River Drive. The Troop participates in most
District and Council Events in addition to its own camping and activity
events. The troop is known in the area for its High Adventure
Program, which has included trips to Colorado, Virginia, Isle Royale,
and Arizona. The troop's motto is achievement through
leadership and various camping experience.
